The A-share banking sector declined in the morning session, with Shanghai Bank falling more than 4%, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Bank of China, and Bank of Communications falling more than 3%, and Chongqing Bank, China Merchants Bank, Postal Savings Bank of China, China Construction Bank, and Agricultural Bank of China all falling more than 2%.
