Oct 7–30, 2026, ITU Radiocommunication Sector Study Group 4 (SG4) and working parties WP4A, WP4B and WP4C met in Geneva for the sixth WRC‑27 study‑cycle session. The Chinese delegation participated in review of the draft Conference Preparatory Meeting (CPM) report, focusing on market‑relevant items: proposed direct‑to‑handset/mobile frequency allocations, restrictions on transmissions from unauthorized earth stations, and potential optimizations to Radio Regulations Article 4.4. Delegates also debated satellite‑mobile protection criteria, IMT‑2030 satellite air‑interface performance, standards for network monitoring and control centers, Article 22 limit issues, and drafted/revised proposals and study reports for satellite fixed and broadcast services.
