A Pakistani security source said on the 2nd that Indian border personnel shot dead two Pakistani civilians and wounded a third near the India-Pakistan border in Kasur district, Punjab. The source said the three villagers had just crossed boundary markers, were unarmed, and that the shooting violated border agreements and standard operating procedures; the source also accused Indian media of fabricating facts and labeling the civilians 'infiltrators.'

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) said it will step up protection and utilization of industrial heritage, establish a national industrial heritage archive database and build a high-quality protection system. MIIT will integrate cultural empowerment across the full manufacturing value chain and promote the industrial design sector. It will pursue culture–technology–industry integration, develop new ideological-education, science-popularization and cultural-tourism consumption scenarios, and launch an industrial culture digital programme. MIIT also said it will deepen application of 5G, Beidou, virtual reality and artificial intelligence and support industrial-themed film and cultural production and dissemination.

Zhejiang maritime authorities reported Oct. 1-2 that CNOOC Zhejiang New Energy’s Zhoushan-branch LNG bunkering vessel Haiyang Shiyou 302 delivered 3,990 cbm of bonded LNG as fuel to CMA CGM PALMYRE at berth 5, Dapukou terminal, Jintang port area, Zhoushan. The operation used a cross-customs-region “Ningbo pickup, Zhoushan bunkering” coordination model. Following an earlier Zhejiang free‑trade zone “Zhoushan pickup, Ningbo bunkering” case, the transaction fills Zhoushan’s bonded LNG ship‑to‑ship bunkering gap and completes bidirectional bonded LNG connectivity on the Ningbo–Zhoushan cross‑customs route.
