China's Foreign Ministry said Emmanuel Bonne, foreign policy adviser to the French president, will visit China from Oct. 9 to 13 to hold a new round of China-France strategic dialogue with Wang Yi, a member of the CPC Politburo and director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs.

Several Japanese companies have reported customer data security incidents. H.I.S. Group said on Dec. 11, 2025 its Thailand subsidiary received an alert for unauthorized access to a server; the unit immediately disconnected the server from the network and restricted access. A follow-up investigation found passport data for 627 customers may have been exposed, including name, gender, birthdate, passport number and expiry date, and allergy information. The day before, Citizen Watch and other firms reported server intrusions with possible customer data leaks.

Finland's data center buildout is accelerating. After Alphabet's Google announced last month its largest-ever European investment in the country, several new projects have followed. Benefiting from a cool climate, available renewable power and ready grid connections, companies including Alibaba Group and Applied Digital have announced plans to invest in Finnish data centers. Total planned or underway investment now exceeds EUR 67 bln (about $75 bln).
