China’s foreign ministry special envoy for Afghanistan, Yue Xiaoyong, visited Turkey, Pakistan and Afghanistan from July 30 to Aug. 8, 2026. In Turkey he held consultations with the director-general for South Asia at Turkey’s foreign ministry on matters of mutual concern. In Pakistan and Afghanistan he met relevant officials to discuss promoting improved development ties between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

截至8月5日，财政部公布的联邦总债务约为39.83万亿美元。CBO预计，2026财年净利息支出约1.04万亿美元，相当于每天28.5亿美元，占7.4万亿美元联邦支出的约14%，并超过9180亿美元国防支出；同时约相当于1.9万亿美元财政赤字的55%。随着大量低息国债陆续到期，其中约10.2万亿美元将在未来一年滚动，而30年期收益率7月底一度升至5.27%。随着旧债逐步换成高息新债，平均融资成本还会继续上升。
