Jordan Armed Forces General Command said on July 19 its air defenses intercepted
and shot down three of four missiles fired at targets inside Jordan by Iran; the
fourth fell in a remote area in southern Jordan away from populated areas. The
command said there were no casualties or damage. Royal Engineers are at the
impact site conducting technical disposal and security procedures. The armed
forces said they remain at highest alert, continue to monitor Jordanian airspace
and will decisively respond to any threats to national security or civilian
lives.
