Boris Chernyshov, deputy chairman of Russia's State Duma, said Ukraine's current situation stems from policies of historical revisionism. He warned efforts to erase memory of Nazism and radical nationalism and to rewrite school curricula can, over 20 to 30 years, turn local festivals into state-level, Nazi-style education programmes. He said attempts to falsify Russia's victory in the Great Patriotic War are both pointless and criminal.

At the BRICS summit, Iran president Pezeshkian said economic resilience rests on security and warned that no single power center has the right to determine other countries' destinies. He said unilateral sanctions now extend beyond economics to directly affect food security and public welfare, and urged BRICS to expand trade in local currencies and strengthen the New Development Bank to boost members' resilience. Citing US and Israeli military actions against Iran, he warned that attacks on a country's economy, energy and development infrastructure produce regional and global spillovers and said the Iranian people have borne a heavy cost.

Iran's ISNA, citing Yemeni military sources, said Saudi media reports that a missile launched from Yemen struck a mosque inside Saudi Arabia are false and the allegations are "without factual basis".
