An explosion and fire at Hanwha Aerospace's Daejeon plant on June 1 killed five workers and injured two, police and fire officials said. Authorities suspect a rocket motor/propulsion unit may have detonated. South Korea's Lee ordered all available resources mobilized for rescue, a full probe into the cause and measures to prevent a recurrence. The Daejeon facility produces tactical weapons and large rocket motors and previously suffered fatal explosions in 2018 and 2019.
