At the opening of the morning session, most domestic futures contracts rose, with SC crude oil up nearly 10%, container shipping to Europe up over 9%, ethylene glycol (EG) up nearly 6%, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) and fuel oil up over 5%, asphalt up over 4%, and plastics and styrene (EB) up over 3%. On the downside, palladium and silver fell over 4%, platinum fell over 3%, gold fell over 2%, lithium carbonate and tin fell nearly 2%, and TSR20 rubber, international copper, rubber, copper, and live hogs fell over 1%.
