Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan stated, "Security in the Gulf region cannot be achieved without respect for the sovereignty of all countries in the region. The member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council will not tolerate attacks on their territories. We reiterate the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation and the safety of merchant ships in the Strait of Hormuz and all maritime routes," adding that any disruption to maritime routes would also disrupt global markets, supply chains, and economic growth.
